Sandra Kay Fennell, age 77, passed away December 23, 2017 at her Noblesville home.

She was born December 7, 1940 at Elwood, IN to Gavrel and Oleine ( Powell) Kakasuleff. She was raised in the White River Township community and graduated from Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1958. She was a majorette and also active in the school band. After graduation she became a secretary for the Indiana State Highway Department at Indianapolis.

She married William Thomas Fennell on September 4, 1960. Upon becoming a wife and mother she chose to be a full time homemaker. After raising three children, she returned to the work force, working for several years at CBSI at Sheridan and Adkins Drapery in Westfield, IN.

She was a life-long active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, but mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, William Thomas Fennell, son: Gregg Fennell of Indianapolis, daughters: Tanya K. Runyan of Arcadia, IN and Trina Hiatt of Arcadia, IN, one grandson and four granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, a sister Phyllis McDonald, and a brother: Eugene Kakasuleff.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN. Burial will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Arcadia, IN. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034.
