Mildred Olive Plumlee, age 93, of Tipton, IN died January 29, 2018 at I.U. Tipton Hospital.

She was born January 27, 1925 at Tipton, IN to Benjamin Franklin and Bessie Mae (Johnson) McGill.

Mildred graduated from Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1944. She then married Wayford Plumlee and became a wife and homemaker, a role she enjoyed.

She was a member of Arcadia Christian Church. Several years ago she started a pen pals group of women and continued writing until her demise. This led to her collecting and trading post cards with others. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving her is a daughter: Nita Arlene (Michael) Kuhns of Summertown, TN, a brother: Keith (Karleen) McGill of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren: Mark Quigley, Alex Plumlee, Cassie Hall, Jacob Netherton, and Caleb Boman, plus seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Rex Plumlee, sister: Ruth "Tootie" McGill, brothers: Jerry McGill and Dean McGill, and a grandson: Joshua Netherton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services. Pastor Jacob Netherton will officiate. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. You may send condolences at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
