Henrietta Hanenburg, age 88, of Cicero, IN died August 22, 2017 at Harbour Manor Care Center at Noblesville, IN.

She was born January 8, 1929 at Edam, Saskatchewan, Canada to Dirk Jan and Hanske (Postman) Haarsma.

Rita, as she was fondly known, had worked in retail sales primarily with ladies clothing. She and her husband also worked together in their business, Nu-Way Tree Moving at Fishers, IN. She also greatly enjoyed her role as homemaker. She lived her Christian faith and was a gracious and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She married James Paul Hanenburg on September 15, 1953. He survives her. Additional survivors include a son: John Dwight Hanenburg of Cicero, IN, daughters: Elizabeth Irene Fredericks of Aurora, CO, and Barbara Dawn Runyon of Noblesville, IN, a brother: Gerrard Haarsma of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, grandchildren: Christina Pruitt, Steven Frederick, Andrew Frederick, and Marlee Runyon Light, great-grandchildren: Alexandria Pruitt and Sophia Pruitt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Judith Beverly Hanenburg, three sisters and one brother.

Graveside rites will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Crown Hill Cemetery, located near Arcadia, IN, on 256th Street west of St. Rd. 19.
