Barbara Mae Post, age 78, of Noblesville, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 25, 2017.

She was born May 27, 1939 at Marquette, Michigan to Alex Michael and Lempi Wilhelmenia (Alto) Hillberg.

She was a graduate of Graveraet High School with the Class of 1957. She then continued her studies at Northern Michigan University at Marquette.

Barbara had worked for several years as a clerk at the Marion County Treasurers Office in Indianapolis. She also enjoyed her role as homemaker, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Newcomers Club of Noblesville, IN.

She married John Thomas Post on December 30, 1961. He survives her. Also surviving is a son: James (Teresa) Post of Denver, NC, daughters: Joanne (Kevin) Renfro of Arcadia, IN and Emmy (James) Irwin of Noblesville, IN, grandchildren: Mitchell, Bailee, Benjamin, Alec, Sophia and Hadden.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Eleanor Magill.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 South Pearl Street, Cicero, IN 46034. A reception to celebrate Barbara's life will be held following her services in the Parish Hall. Burial will occur at a later date at Park Cemetery at Marquette, MI.
